Kevin received his dental degree in 1995 from University College Cork in Ireland. In his early career, he worked in dental surgeries in Essex and East London for fourteen years, gaining a huge amount of experience in restorative dentistry. He began working in this surgery in 2010 where he enjoys furthering his skills in the friendly environment it provides.
Kevin is passionate about providing preventative and minimally invasive dentistry in order to secure and maintain oral health. This includes providing advice and treatment in order to prevent dental caries (cavities), gum disease, and loss of enamel through erosion, toothbrush abrasion and bruxism (teeth grinding). He offers the Boutique whitening system for those patients who would like a safe, non-invasive option of a whiter smile.
He reads the latest dental journals and joins courses to keep up with new developments in the field of dentistry. He also attends dental lectures and hands-on courses to improve his skills in different aspects of the profession. His laid-back, down-to-earth nature helps put patients at ease and treatment options and prices are explained before starting any treatment.
Kevin finds that one of the best parts of being a part of Dental Beauty Islington is that patients have the option to see certain clinicians with particular advanced skills in specialised fields. These fields include cosmetic dentistry (including composite bonding and the use of aligner systems, such as Invisalign to straighten teeth), oral surgery, endodontics (root canal), periodontics (gum disease), and implants. Having these clinicians working in the same building is a huge advantage.
When he’s not at work, Kevin enjoys spending quality time with his family, going to the cinema, attending gigs – from tiny venues to massive festivals – and spending way too much time in record shops.
